Cuplacakes Posted August 7, 2013 Author Report Posted August 7, 2013 Hey guys, I have updated my website with screenshots from a few projects! The upper 3 were completely personal projects, while on the second 2, I collaborated with other people, working mainly on lighting, effects, post-processing, and shaders. -HP- 1 Quote

Kedhrin Posted August 23, 2013 Report Posted August 23, 2013 hey man i'm not sure if you're done with this level or not but just as a note... grass doesn't follow terrain normals. not trying to call you out, just something you may want to fix http://georgehulm.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/mysticalforest8.png Cuplacakes 1 Quote
bawwwcas Posted August 28, 2013 Report Posted August 28, 2013 Hello George, Since this is just about portfolio critiques I'll keep it to that. The first thing I noticed is the way you're selling yourself. You say you're a level designer, but I also see concept art which doesn't relate to anything level design. I suggest keeping your portfolio strictly level design content or world building content, and if you have any sketches it should relate to environments or level design concepts. The second thing I noticed was that your site feels more like a blogspot rather than a professional website. I feel as if things should be categorized into pages for organization and ease of access, rather than having to scroll down constantly. Cuplacakes 1 Quote
Cuplacakes Posted August 31, 2013 Author Report Posted August 31, 2013 (edited) Hey guys, thanks a lot for the feedback, I'll be sure to take your criticism's on board edit: bawwwcas, I created this portfolio to show to a university, and they wanted to see a slightly broader range of work (they also looked at a physical portfolio and some sketchbooks, when I leave Uni and I'm looking for a job I'll definitely concentrate more on my area of expertise, and my professionalism) Edited August 31, 2013 by Cuplacakes Quote
