Dag Posted January 12, 2005 Report Posted January 12, 2005 For those wondering about the last picture: Around the time of Christmas some American organization operating in Cuba put up a big lit sign which said 77 or some number thereabouts, which was a reference to prisoners being held by the Cuban government. I forget exactly. Basically, it was an implication of injustice. In response, the government put up those billboards. Quote
-Stratesiz- Posted January 12, 2005 Author Report Posted January 12, 2005 It's all about lovely propaganda. Quote
DaanO Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Did you make these pictures to do some photography (to make pretty pictures) or because of the scenery/ buildings/ whatever was on them? Quote
DaanO Posted January 14, 2005 Report Posted January 14, 2005 Then i'd say you picked some interesting scenery, but (although some pictures are interesting, they remind me of Amores Perros) you should spend some more attention to capturing them in a pretty way. Quote
-Stratesiz- Posted January 17, 2005 Author Report Posted January 17, 2005 Yah most of the pictures were taken without much consideration, planning or checking. I grabbed the pics pretty much while advancing to the next location on the tourist map. Yes it bothers me too since I wanted to have a day or two solely for taking well thought shots alone. Quote

-Stratesiz- Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 Being American won't prevent you from visiting Cuba. The Americans I saw there came thru Canada. As a matter of fact, there are Americans studying there. Quote
-Stratesiz- Posted January 18, 2005 Author Report Posted January 18, 2005 More images: This was a surprise to me. Some are spiced up with Canadian flags. Quote
