It says that the development team has been cut down? HP, Mino, you need to tell us what's going on!

"...and Blizzard is reassigning those people to other work." Doesn't sound like anybody will be homeless anytime soon, but rebooting a project with 100 people on it after years of development sheesh...I guess they can afford it! Sucks that it's going to be so long until a new Blizzard MMO hits shelves servers though. :(

Can they make another Warcraft now forty, twenty, ten random dudes have killed all the major characters?

I guess they could set it in the past. Then they could come up with more characters to kill off with randoms in their WoW future.

They've officially cancelled the project now.

Really must suck if you've been there for all those 7 years (or even as some of our Core folks that have worked on it for years), but part of me also like that they're willing to take these kinds of tough decision when it just isn't coming together. Hopefully something great will emerge from this~~
