I admit I'm hoping this turns out to be a really good game.  Now I just have to decide to get an Xbox One which for all my PS4 love I think I will get anyway.

All the reviews of the xbox one are saying its very boring sadly, probably sums up to killzone.

Is a 6 a good score by EDGE? It pretty much resembles the current aggregated score on Metacritic. The Kotaku review on the other hand is indeed very positive. I'll hold back further judgement until I've played it myself.

It's not good, but it's not bad. Edge tends to have lower scores because it considers 5/10 average, rather than like most gaming publications that for some reason have settled upon about 70–80% as being average. I didn't actually look at the score though, I read the review which seemed to be mostly positive about it while admitting the combat lacks depth.

 

It does seem like a lot of mixed reviews are popping up on Metacritic now. Kind of disappointing but we'll see what the average is after a few days. The main complaint definitely seems to be the lack of combat complexity that we all saw coming.

Shacknews doesn't really seem to like it. 

 

It's ultimately one of those great graphics launch games. I wouldnt expect it to have a particularly deep combat system.

I hope nobody reads this in the wrong way, because as an Italian I was really hoping to see an interesting game coming out of the long development cycle. But reviews are bashing it, this is the roundup i found on a console war topic:
