The ending of episode two wasn't so suspenseful as it was so teased and anticipated by everyone; was impossible to escape the hype

Actually because of it I had been spoiled the ending of season 5 ?

Where the hell comes out the figure that talks to the King of Iron Islands during the storm?? Is that supposed to be a vision? It was so dark that I thought at first was the younger Baratheon re-appearing for some reason.

John Snow's awakening was expected, but for a second there I thought that all that buildup was for nothing, which would have been interesting, but probably would have pissed off a lot of people

You can definitely tell the difference between this season an the lat in terms of the writing and that they don't have the books to really go off of as much anymore. The brief pike sections are from the book, and Aryas and Brans scenes but that's about it. It all feels even more condescend and cut down and feels like TV writing. Meh.

It's also less dark, has more humor and is friendlier towards women.

I think it's just the beginning and needs to ramp up. Not that I remember the other season starting with a bang. But maybe I binged so much that everything got mushed together.

Couldn't download torrents for ep3 as its blocked where I leave, found out that Sky's Now TV has a 14 day free trial so subscribed just to be able to view a couple episodes  then will see
