blackdog Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Seems there's no topic about it - searching doesn't return me any dedicated topic. After the announce I was really hyped (in fact it made me finally decide to order the GOTY edition of Arkham City, which i finished a couple of days ago). I like what I'm seeing, just found this rich gallery of in-game shots MOAR. My only critique right now, would be that the Batsuit is very reminescent of the one in Nolan's movies... not that I don't like it, quite the contrary (the "helmet" is much cooler than the cape), but it's just a modern design that doesn't feel right for a prequel. But who cares, this is one of the rare cases in which I can say "just give me more of the same". Quote
PogoP Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 Cool! So I heard this is by different developers than Rocksteady? Are those in-game shots? If so, it looks fantastic. Quote
blackdog Posted April 29, 2013 Author Report Posted April 29, 2013 Yes, it's WB Montreal making it this time around. They look pretty in-game to me concept-art is found in the bottom part of the linked gallery. Quote
D3ads Posted April 29, 2013 Report Posted April 29, 2013 ...and again, I still haven't played the first one past the first two sections... one day I'll get around to it. Quote

Alf-Life Posted May 19, 2013 Report Posted May 19, 2013 I'm sure this will be good, but I really am disappointed to see devs/pubs trying to replicate Activision's Call of Duty 2-dev leapfrog strategy of yearly releases. Maybe I'm naive but I would prefer devs to do what Naughty Dog has done with the move from Uncharted to Last of Us (they are still a largely 1-team studio with 2 smaller 'core' teams evolving the core concepts, aren't they?). Try to create two hit franchises and rotate them. Then again, I guess consumers needs to vote saturation with their wallets - I'm guilty of buying every COD, but I don't know how long before I pass on them. I read an Activision guy saying the numbers show COD isn't saturated despite what their critics say, but look at what happened to Guitar Hero. Izuno 1 Quote
blackdog Posted May 20, 2013 Author Report Posted May 20, 2013 The trailer, no gameplay remarkable quality btw; wonder if they intend to do a web-series like the last Mortal Kombat, this is WB afterall. Quote
Izuno Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 I really hope this works with WB Montreal at the helm. First 2 arkham games were just...balls out awesome. Quote
blackdog Posted May 21, 2013 Author Report Posted May 21, 2013 And lot of people is commenting about the "Queen Industries" box... easter egg or an hint about a possible appearance of the caped archer? For those who cares, read this morning that it is confirmed not only that Mark Hamill will not be the Joker, but also Conroy, as lot of rumors were saying. Good thing is that here: http://www.gamesrada...ot-mark-hamill/ they say that Troy Baker, the new Joker, is perfectly up to par with Hamill and that was the thing I would care most, Batman himself doesn't talk that much so I hope they don't make the actor try to make an impression and just let him work his best.
