KIIIA Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Id say, its the first prototype of that kind of layout & style. The map himself has a very great potential , use it! For example u could build a central eyecatchin eyecandyin structure, and teleporters, and better textures with moving trims (Q3Ashader style). I could also imagine a CTF version, where the round outsides of the ways are blue and red...... Quote
Zacker Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 That map begs for jump-pads and teleporters:) Good job, I like the smooth style. It is however noticeable that it havent been worked that much on. Quote
RA7 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 kinda cool Kinda newish, not C17_like. Quote
xempest Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Now think up some abstract name... 'platform' is... Quote
Nazul Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 woot , thought it was something from 3dmax or something looks might fine ! teleporters and railgun would pwn Quote
MagicTMP Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 love the abstract feel of it... but 35 megs?! it doesnt even look that big D:! Quote
Defrag Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 Looks like good fun, I love what you've done with the displacement maps -- nice and original. Now, I wonder what would happen if you spawned the buggy in a low grav environment then made a loop the loop using displacement maps? Quote
bobjones Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 12 player spawns at the moment thats as many as you need overwatch only has 10 Quote
Guest Zeta Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Its brilliant fun to play this. Quote
DvS Posted January 7, 2005 Author Report Posted January 7, 2005 12 player spawns at the moment thats as many as you need overwatch only has 10 That's a relief, I'm a bit too used to the whole CS 40 spawn standard. Quote
Belgarion Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 hey that looks really cool. i had no idea displacement maps were so versatile. doesn't even look like half-life Quote
mike-0 Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 That is so cool! When i think of displacement, i think of terrain and stuff. Good job of thinking out of the box. Quote
mike-0 Posted January 8, 2005 Report Posted January 8, 2005 I could also imagine a CTF version, where the round outsides of the ways are blue and red...... i think its much too small for a CTF style Quote
