You need to play this game for what it is, generating expectations like that is dangerous because they're never met. 

Got this in the mail today btw, looking forward to fire it up but I wanna finish U4 first! Glad to see some positive comments about the SP tho, actually looking forward to play it.

Give it more of a chance, lemming. I love brutal doom, but I enjoy this as well. They are two totally different games really.

Thief 1+2, team fortress classic, natural selection, system shock 2, half life 1+2, deus ex 1, battlefield 2. Great games, what you guys on about

I really hope that SnapMap allows more than 4 players in the future, feels so restrictive if you want to create gameplay for i.e. 4v4.

I meant nothing about Doom 2016 with that post. From the footage it looks great, and very, very different from Doom 3: BFG, where a point blank shotgun blast to a basic ass zombie may or may not kill it, and you've got like a second and a half before the next shot to find out. They broke the very act of shooting things in that game. Doom 2016 looks like the Fallout 4 style course correction to Doom 3's Fallout 3.

Loving Snapmap so far actually, I expect a Halo Forge job on it but they went pretty in-depth compared to what I expected.

As far as the game.. Good lord it is difficult on the hardest difficulty haha. I'm getting 1shot by just about everything and I LOVE it. It's just constant chaos and the soundtrack is ace. What more could you want from Doom?
