dux Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 (edited) You're playing it on a console. That's your problem right there. Edited May 12, 2016 by dux PaulH and Sprony 2 Quote

dux Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I bought it 1 minute after release so it doesn't count as a Pre-Order because fuck Pre-Orders. I'll write up my thoughts on single player later. -HP-, BJA, Vaya and 1 other 4 Quote
Guest Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) Campaign is promising so far, only on the third sp map. Looks great and the movement/shooting is really fluid. Also had no idea there were so many upgrades - adds alot imo. Glory kills aren't as repetitive as the trailers made it seem. My understanding is that you just do one whenever you need health, otherwise I just stay on the move. Kind of refreshing to play a campaign set up like this, just map to map gameplay. MP has way more weapons, demons and game modes than the alpha/beta, which was sorely needed. Definitely a fun pub game, don't know if it will turn any heads away from Overwatch or any of the other big shooters coming out, but I don't think it needs to really. Seems like a pretty solid package to me. Edited May 13, 2016 by nikkoship Quote

Single player story tries to take itself seriously (any attempt to make a story with doom is never going to be easy which is why I think you shouldn't bother trying to make one) while the rest of the game is serious sam if you get what I mean? Really weird clash. Edited May 13, 2016 by dux Quote
Beck Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 It looks like fun in the short clips I see where people are bunny-hopping around and destroying demons in pools of blood. But I don't think I could play it in long bursts. It'd get tiring quickly. Probably gonna grab this in a sale though. Quote
Zyn Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 7,5 hours later, and I finished my playthrough of DOOM in one sitting on normal difficulty, and boy is my butt sore and my face hurting from smiling at the violence I commited. Pampers, BJA, Sprony and 1 other 4 Quote

Jetsetlemming Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I installed Doom 3: BFG edition the other day in anticipation to this, and because I've been playing a lot of Brutal Doom lately. I lasted 90 minuted before uninstalling it. Looking forward to when I can play this. Back to Brutal Doom for now though Quote
