Jezpuh Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 ROFL! That's great. What happend though? Were they yelling because the song was so damn bad or was she syncing again? edit: the song was bad, yeah. Quote
FrieChamp Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 That situation on saturday night live must have been so embarassing, the way she dances when the vocals cut off looks so funny Quote
W01f Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 HAHAHA!!! The whole entire crowd boo'd her thats quite possibly meaniest/ true/ funniest thing eva~~ Did you hear of that Toronto rolling stones concert in the summer of 2003? You know, the largest concert in North American history? Well I was there...and so was Justin Timberlake. Imagine being on stage while nearly half a million people and booing and throwing shit at you. Now imagine finishing your set. I don't like his music, but that guy has guts and I respect him. I don't care how bad a musician is, I'd never actually boo them offstage. (though I do admit, it's pretty damn funny) Quote
TomWithTheWeather Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 It's not really a matter of "they have no talent" as much as it is you guys just don't like that style of music. I don't either. But take away all the digital post-preduction studio enhancements and tell them to sing without having to dance at the same time, and you'll find that they can sing well. Maybe not as well as someone extremely vocally talented, like Celine Dion or those three tenor guys for instance, but well enough for them to have gotten into the music industry. Most of them lip sync only because they have to dance at the same time. It's super hard to do and have it sound good. Why do you think the CD version sounds better than the live version? Because they didn't have to dance in the studio during the recording. But then, by chance one night, the show screws up due to some sound system error and suddenly they're the worst, most talentless singer in the world. I dislike the teen pop style of music as much as the next guy here, but I'll bet that given the chance and the right setting, most of the teen pop singers could sing better than most of the singers you guys listen to. All that aside, those vids are fuuny. Quote

I feel sorry for anyone that likes Evanescence and sees them live, that chick can't carry a tune worth a damn. Hits one note, carries it for the whole song. Quote
Duff-e Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 i wouldnt be as big of a deal if the artists were honest about it i remember reading that Ashlee Simpson said in some interview that lipsyncing was bad and that she would never do it. then when she gets caught lip syncing on saturday night live she blames it on her band. thats the kind of shit that makes you enjoy rubbing it in for all its worth. Fletch Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 if only teeny-pop music would finally die. Quote
