Evert Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Hey Mike. Very nice work, I like the style a lot. Been a long time you. Quote
3D_Mike Posted January 4, 2005 Author Report Posted January 4, 2005 I feel the same about m rocks but I cant find any better suiting in the sample material :/ And you guys might be right about gameplay, I dont think I can make that deadline without playtesting it well enough to proper balance it. Im going to finish it for now, sent it to valve and after that finish it without any stress Quote
DD Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Looks great 3d-mike! As usual You could construct a rock or rocks using displacement maps + same texture on the terrain... might take some work but it would work. Is it a tiling texture? Although this map looks great I don't think Valve is looking for maps like this, I'd imagine they would want to pick maps that look similiar too HL2 or HL1 + graphics update. This is way cool but kind of out there. Quote
Tequila Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Reminds me of the newish Prince of Persia's crazy architecture, which is awesome! Quote
Marcos Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Not much to say that havent been said. It looks awesome! Quote
st0lve Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 hai meik I leik u, err I mean the map! D: Quote
static07 Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 The polygonish rock in front has to go, reminds me of dust2 on source... not a good thing. Quote
mike-0 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 think you'll have it done by march? Quote
Grin Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Looks really neat, altho those sharp rocks should be removed imo. Quote
Zacker Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 Looks very cool Mike! It is clear that this map is made by someone who really knows mapping. It is however also clear that it needs much more work. Pics dont work anymore, so thats all I can say for now. Quote
kleinluka Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I like when people say "it needs much more work" and then don't go into detail about WHAT NEEDS WORK. Quote
