Trying to be a manga artist

half a year ago in japan a friend of mine showed me these cool sheets that you can stick over your artwork and than cut out shapes to do shading with called "screen tones" apparently all manga artists use those ( i was a bit shocked that i never noticed those patterns before) since than i was planing to do some artwork with that method to see how authentic a manga look i could get with it:

its sort of fanart/promotional material for her livestreaming/lets play chanel.

Very nice !

I never been a fan of those patterns, but the conditions of the mangaka (manga's authors) its totally understandable. They have a very limited time to produce their chapter. Personally I prefer hatching manually. However I should try them one day. Is it hard to use ?

i applied mine digitaly that was allready pretty tediouse i must imagine doing it with an actual knive must be even harder and much more dangerouse you can obviously fuck up your artwork.
