Minos Posted October 14, 2016 Report Posted October 14, 2016 Really tempted to get one myself. I barely touch my vive these days, it's always a huge effort to do anything with it. Every time I bring someone new to try it some shit happens and I have to spend a lot of time troubleshooting. I just have no time and patience to be fucking around with this every ime I want to use. Well, I'll wait a bit, hopefully the PSVR fixes most of my annoyances I have with the oculus and the vive (mostly the lack of standards and the constant troubleshooting). And also, I'm really stoked about proper sitting experiences, standing is cool for some kinds of games but not for the games that I want to play -HP- 1 Quote
-HP- Posted October 14, 2016 Author Report Posted October 14, 2016 Just the fact that RE7 VR version is PS VR exclusive, it's reason enough for me to wanna get this. But yeah, the fact that this is an actual product makes this so much more appealing than Vive or Oculus. Quote
AlexM Posted October 15, 2016 Report Posted October 15, 2016 I almost bought it but then it turns out the full deal is 700$ in canada 400$ was already kind of a stretch. Quote

blackdog Posted November 11, 2016 Report Posted November 11, 2016 Not sure to understand, but would think so, that these performance problems are due to the need of patches? i would expect me games to run smoothly, but stuff that was already released needs more work and can't(?) Be expected to run perfectly out of the box? Quote
AlexM Posted November 16, 2016 Report Posted November 16, 2016 They're not running the exact same. The cases he's talking about they're actually rendering to a higher resolution internal buffer then scaling down for better anti-aliasing. Are there any cases of non-pro patch games running slower on the pro? If there are then that sounds like a pretty bad problem. Quote
blackdog Posted November 20, 2016 Report Posted November 20, 2016 @AlexM yes I know those games are patched, what I mean is that when you patch stuff, you don't get it right at first, when you fiddle with rendering i expect you not getting it right straight away. Should see how they perform without patching. Quote

I didn't get a notification since you didn't tag me bro Anyway, I'm kinda disappointed really. The hardware is fine, easy to install and comfortable to wear. It works great too. A bit blurry and low res, but convincing nonetheless. But it needs real and full games instead of all these tech demo's. Quote
