Tepcio Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 Hi guys, I have been working on a prototype for my new environment. It is still in early development stage, so any crits and suggestions are welcome. Current progress: Cheers, T. Chimeray and Thrik 2 Quote
Thrik Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 Loving the ambience the lighting creates. Quote
kikette Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 I really love it =D Nice job dude =D Quote
penE Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 Really nice mood you got there, only thing that bothers me are that the palm leaves appear to be dry Quote
Sprony Posted November 4, 2012 Report Posted November 4, 2012 Great ambience! But what's going on in the down in the middle of the road where the yellow line gets blurry for a bit? Probably a pool of water or something but it looks out of place. Quote
2d-chris Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 nice yeah the road looks unnaturally bumpy - I would also define the edge of the road by pumping up those lights, you'd get considerably more light from them, especially in the rain. All this shot is lacking is a little paralleling of depth and lines. Quote
Sentura Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 looks pretty decent, what time period is it in? it looks moderns but it still has art deco? Quote
Psy Posted November 5, 2012 Report Posted November 5, 2012 looks pretty decent, what time period is it in? it looks moderns but it still has art deco? Me thinks it's based in Miami. Looks awesome, brah. Quote
Tepcio Posted November 6, 2012 Author Report Posted November 6, 2012 Thank you for the feedback everyone! Much appreciated! @SpronyvanJohnson Ahh yeah it's heat distortion from the drain. I'm planning to make a flythrough video for it anyway but yeah it looks exaggerated. @2d-chris the composition here still needs a lot of love. However, the main focal point of the scene would be long street with skyscrapers in the background. Still very rough though. @Sentura, Psy It is definitely inspired by Miami However the problem here is that I want to push it to something more vivid. Maybe some Hi-tech Bladerunnerish accents in the distant city? A lot of garbage and broken neons down here? Don't know if it works but I will keep experimenting. Quote
Sentura Posted November 6, 2012 Report Posted November 6, 2012 so it's supposed to be cyberpunk futuristic? imo you'd get far if you went with a bioshock like feel, just above ground Quote
