What ever happened to the Unearthly competition?

The last one was in 2009, and after the whole fuck-up with prizes and judging and stuff it never came back. So what ever happened to it?

For that matter what happened to all of the cool Env art challenges like this that used to go on? Anyone remember Scene From A movie?

The only recent one that I seem to have missed was the Beat 'Em Up one at Polycount.

I miss these competitions. When they used to run, I was just getting into environment art, so I'd love to be able to participate in one now!

That's interesting, I didn't know anything about that, it would certainly explain a few things. Last I heard he was just 'too busy' to organise it.

I also remember hearing a rumour about Polycount taking over too, not sure what happened to that.

It's a real shame that somebody else can't step up to host a contest if there were questions about this other person
