So I've bought a 16-slot server for £7.37 a month and - after wrestling with the configs - it's running all fine and dandy.

It should do the job. Well, in theory.

As for playtesting, I was thinking that we could have playtest sessions either once or twice a week (depending on people's availability) and announce the times through the forums and the Steam group.

So how about we have a playtest on Tuesday evening sometime between 7-9pm GMT?

Great initiative! I wouldn't mind contributing financially (if that's possible somehow, don't have a credit card atm).

Is anything planned so far? There are a few great maps in the pipeline so it seems (siege, museum, ... come to mind).

I'm also working on something btw (it's actually fully playable already ... if noone minds dev textures ).

Should work now. There was an update since I last posted so I just needed to patch the server.

As I said, I was thinking we could have one Tuesday evening. It would be ideal if there could be a thread for each playtest session including maps to be played and a download link with all the maps zipped together along with Steam announcements and maybe Twitter announcements.

What I could do is post an article that introduces the server, and also provides details of the session on Tuesday. You send me a PM (or just post it here, up to you) with the downloads you want me to include and I'll be sure to simultaneously post the article plus Twitter/Facebook announcements whenever you think is best... say, tomorrow, or Monday?

I'll figure out a way of getting the server information into the design too, perhaps add a new sidebar block with such info.
