Sad, they've definitely had a large impact on the industry as a whole and I'll always have immense respect for both of them for Baldur's Gate, even if Bioware has kinda lost some of it's mojo in the last few years.

The reason sounds legit enough as they explain it, but I do wonder if SWTOR not meeting expectations might have something to do with this too. Extremely expensive venture that didn't seem to pay off in the end, wouldn't be completely unrealistic to see heads roll for something like this.

":9i397mt0]Damn... this is so unexpected. Must be hard to turn your back to the company you founded only to let it be run by a greedy publisher.

There have been some rumors floating around twitter that this leaving also coincides with the amount of time they were contractually obligated to stay at Bioware after the buyout.

On a different note, I wasn't really feeling their games by the time KOTOR came out. Granted I'm not a big SW fan.

I just kind of wish they would have just done a Baldurs Gate 3, with all the difficulty and play options.
