Overview: The Senior Engineer position is responsible for building interactive Flash games that will communicate with existing server applications. The role requires skills in both ActionScript 3 and Flash authoring. The candidate must be both creative and productive to thrive in our fast-paced studio environment. Responsibilities: Design and implement code for front-end game logic and for interfacing with backend servers Write clean object oriented AS3 code Deliver interactive, animated social media games and online games Leading and mentoring a small team of developers Contribute to creation of AS3 frameworks Requirements: Multiple years developing in AS3 using Adobe Flash; the ideal candidate will have strong OOP experience Solid understanding of AS3 frameworks Experience in internet based communication protocols and XML Strong animation skills using Flash Personality to handle responsibility, collaborate and excel in team environment Gaming industry and/or online game design experience a plus Experience in other scripting languages (Javascript, LUA, Perl, Python) a plus Exposure to other object-oriented programming languages (C++, C# and/or Java) a plus Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field a plus.
