Did you watch the gameplay videos on the last page dux? I never played the original but I did watch this:

To me the new one looks like it's in the same vein: very fast-paced, traditional shooter full of slow-moving Nazis and coins. Interesting that it was meant to be a Wolfenstein 3D sequel, never knew about it. :D Clearly the art is different but let's face it, the original looks like ass.

None of that. Slower paced, no heavy metal music, no duke nukem one liners. Maybe the trailer is just giving the wrong impression to me.

 

I dont know if I would say the original ROTT was slower paced. It was a nutbar fast game.

hey guys, for those who haven't seen it yet, this game is out now.

 

Congratulations on the release Sentura!

 

However, as a big fan of games like these, I must say that I'm really annoyed by the collisions in this game, if I strafe alongside a wall I keep getting stuck on small things. I know that it takes resources to make things better, but in this case, I would have putt less into normal maps and more into less auto collision made by the engine...

I know that it takes resources to make things better, but in this case, I would have putt less into normal maps and more into less auto collision made by the engine...

 

 

Yeah we're working on a patch fixing up most of these things. I've been advocating them for a while and hopefully we can get them implemented at least on the multiplayer maps and hopefully in the worst places in singleplayer.

I'm glad to hear that! I've been so spoiled this year with a release of old Duke, Shadow Warrior etc I really hope there are more to come. I really like that there are smaller teams doing it too, I would love to work with that some day. Better doing rereleases of old games than doing more boring AAA games =)

 

Rumor is that interceptor worked on it's own Duke before? Well, rumors =)
