Thrik Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Did you watch the gameplay videos on the last page dux? I never played the original but I did watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ_VACrPibY To me the new one looks like it's in the same vein: very fast-paced, traditional shooter full of slow-moving Nazis and coins. Interesting that it was meant to be a Wolfenstein 3D sequel, never knew about it. Clearly the art is different but let's face it, the original looks like ass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqhHXmiCwNo -HP- 1 Quote
dux Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 I used to play RoTT loads when I was younger, mind you the sound never worked for me. Quote
AlexM Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 None of that. Slower paced, no heavy metal music, no duke nukem one liners. Maybe the trailer is just giving the wrong impression to me. I dont know if I would say the original ROTT was slower paced. It was a nutbar fast game. Quote
blackdog Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 the original looks like ass.The original at the time was impressive, like the difference between Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat "Look! It's realistic*!" *speaking of the characters/graphic style AlexM 1 Quote

AlexM Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 I swear this is the LAST time I buy something on steam this summer. Congrats on release, looking forward to playing it Sentura 1 Quote
Erratic Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 I think I just hit Ep3. It's fast and fun but a little buggy. Also getting snagged on walls during the jump pad sections whyyyyyyy. Quote
Minos Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 Looks like fun, need to get this!! Sentura 1 Quote
Hipshot Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 hey guys, for those who haven't seen it yet, this game is out now. Congratulations on the release Sentura! However, as a big fan of games like these, I must say that I'm really annoyed by the collisions in this game, if I strafe alongside a wall I keep getting stuck on small things. I know that it takes resources to make things better, but in this case, I would have putt less into normal maps and more into less auto collision made by the engine... Sentura 1 Quote

Yeah we're working on a patch fixing up most of these things. I've been advocating them for a while and hopefully we can get them implemented at least on the multiplayer maps and hopefully in the worst places in singleplayer. Hipshot 1 Quote

I've been so spoiled this year with a release of old Duke, Shadow Warrior etc I really hope there are more to come. I really like that there are smaller teams doing it too, I would love to work with that some day. Better doing rereleases of old games than doing more boring AAA games =) Rumor is that interceptor worked on it's own Duke before? Well, rumors =) Edited August 6, 2013 by Hipshot Quote
