Kedhrin Posted August 1, 2012 Report Posted August 1, 2012 Hey guys, The team has been really busy cranking away and we are super excited to release Steam Workshop for Nexuiz. This features the CryENGINE 3 editor we use for Nexuiz (3.3.9 build currently). the pitch: Steam Workshop is now available on Steam! Create your very own Nexuiz levels and share them with the community! We have a schedule of ongoing tutorials, both video and written. There are 2 levels currently available (for free, of course), Siege (Based off the Community Designed Level 03) and Meow (Based off Community Designed Level 02). Make sure you leave your mark. Questions about making your own levels? While we get the Wiki and our video tutorials sorted, make sure you take a look at the CryENGINE 3 Free SDK information. Almost all information there is valid. We understand most of you do not have access to power tools such as 3D Studio Max and Photoshop. We will continue to aid you and guide you into making exciting levels for Nexuiz and sharing them with the community. Make an awesome level? You will have a chance of it becoming an official level in Nexuiz. Please post in our editing section on the forums to ask questions, seek help and create, share, and explore your imagination! We've worked very hard on getting this editor ready and integrated for you. We look forward to your creations! The 2 levels available are my 2 maps i've been working on over the past month... we're working on a ton of tutorials with CryEngine 3 right now too. A big thing with our tutorials is we focus heavily on "Get results" rather than "here's a general thing, figure out how to best use it". If you want to learn CryENGINE 3 and wnat to make levels for an Arena FPS, here is where you do it I hope to see some of you jump in and help me build up levels for our Workshop. You may also want to try converting some of your UDK levels over too Our wiki and tutorial videos should be going up sometime today. Thanksssss Quote

insta Posted August 2, 2012 Report Posted August 2, 2012 I saw a video on facebook which showed a....cat-themed level for this game. I was wondering what the music used in the video was called, do you know? TIA Quote
Kedhrin Posted August 2, 2012 Author Report Posted August 2, 2012 its one of our songs in the game by Trisector, he made a huge variety of music for the game, that one specifically was custom edited from an existing track he had (we had him remove vocals) -> Quote
Kedhrin Posted August 8, 2012 Author Report Posted August 8, 2012 Here is a playlist for a 2hour 15 minute tutorial on creating a level from scratch, lots o tutorial action Quote

Steppenwolf Posted August 9, 2012 Report Posted August 9, 2012 Wish i had the time for some side projects. With Steam Workshop and CE3 this looks like a fun platform to make custom stuff for. Also digging the music. Quote
madgernader Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Looks like the game is on free weekend on steam, good time to check it out. Although apparently it thinks my gfx card is unsupported... (running an asus geforce gtx 560ti) *edit* played a bot match, it was fun but then I crashed out after what I'm guessing would have been the final flag capture D: Quote
cityy Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Just bought the game, looking to give all this a shot. Quote
RedYager Posted August 10, 2012 Report Posted August 10, 2012 Cool game, not usually into ridiculously fast paced stuff like quake but I think I could get into this. It looks really nice, I love the style and music, but its so quick you can't really appreciate it! Perhaps I'll try my hand at making a level some day, You got yourself a sale. Quote
