Hey Guys,

Some of you know about this already, but to those who don't we're releasing the Steam Workshop for Nexuiz any day now (working with Crytek to finish up the last details this very minute).

So, it may release today, tomorrow or monday.

Anyways, part of what i'm doing is releasing 2 maps as flagship maps for the Workshop. Both of these come from blue room designs i made based off community requested features in a level.

one of them, Siege, is more of a serious styled map and i made it based off the blue room players voted on ( http://forums.nexuiz.com/index.php?/top ... y-level-3/ )

The other one, is mostly for the lulz, but i used it as the spear to fully test our Steam Workshop functionality (best way to test is to actually use it practically afterall).

Now on to what needs to be said.

The level is CTF_Meow and is a level based off cats. I wanted to make a level that looked like it was made out of those kitty towers you buy for cats.

i'm trying to wrap up this map today or tomorrow... so i'm looking for quick bangs to wrap it up. I'm curious to know if you guys have any suggestions i should add for the level :) I was going to add one of those balls on a spring. I initially tried doing it with the touch bending system in CryENGINE 3.... but we disabled that in Nexuiz to save on overhead performance.

the only thing i can think of right now is maybe can towers in the skybox of cat food....

haha, unfortunately our release of Nexuiz is on 3.3.9 and mesh tesselation was released in 3.4 :(

Although, our STUPID rendering mode uses 3.4, we're just waiting for 3.4.1 to release for fixes before we can release STUPID mode.

LOL that is great, just posted it on the FB. Would have been even better if you'd had a quick montage of wide pans showing the map off like in the shots, funny trailer though. :cool:
