I've just finished the SP.
Graphixxxxx and sound design it's a truly masterpiece, but the rest of the SP is just weak :( I really liked BF3's SP, and this is a whole mile back. Story is unclear, Hanna during gameplay is just beyond annoying. AI is just funny stupid. Shit guys, its sad. Drop SP and just focus on MP components.

The ending is most unsatisfying, you have to choose who to sacrifice and thers just 15 sec's cut scene and the death of one of you fellow is just -aahh fuck it, he died LOL !

there is loads of shit i didn't like, but that's what bother's me the most. From level to level i've just felt how much you guys were pushed by EA just to fit in schedule.

I think BF4 SP was better than BF3. More sandbox arenas, freedom to choose weapons, the game doesn't punish you for bunnyhopping up to a tank and C4:ing it etc. By the time we get to BF6 the SP experience might actually stand on it's own legs.

oh and one more

What I loved is that Dima was back in action. I assume this is the same Dima, he is saying a bout surviving a nuclear blast, so this is him right ? i was sure he did shoot himself at the end of BF3 but . . .

So now the DLC "China Rising" is available to Premium users, and I've had some rounds on them. Guilin Peaks and Dragon Pass are very BC2:Vietnam, Altai Range is no cover and all snipers, and Silk Road is also no cover and all snipers. But people soon learn that being prone on a rock doesn't work. However, Air Superiority takes the title "Worst Game 2013" with the current design. Either you get stealth jets which are known to have the turn-radius of a small country, or attack choppers which are eh. And it always comes down to who pops flares first and then gets shot down by lock-on missiles. Plus people are really cheap, and hits Redeploy before they die, denying you of a kill. Just like people do in any other game mode as well, by bailing out.

Now, I am trying to unlock the UCAV for Support and I die a little on the inside when I know I have to get 15 kills total with jets to get it... not so easy when everyone bails out or you try take on a ground target but your jet is as agile as a refridgerator and just leaves a smoldering crates a second later.

Just tried Silk Road which is pretty much pointless if you're infantry.

Played a bit of Altai Range and that was ok so long as you stayed around the capture points as infantry and only moved between them if you knew it was safe. Snipers, tanks and little birds are having a blast with this!

Don't really want to judge them on 20 mins play time on each but it's kind of a bad first impression...

I finally picked up BF4 last week. All this week, I I tried giving the game (MP) a chance, but as of tonight I went back to BF3. I'm sorry but 4 is an abortion of 3, I never thought I would say this, since every BF installment has delighted me up until 4. Now after playing multiple hours of BF3 , everything other than a handful of cool additions plays and feels better in 3 in my opinion. I don't understand why the game was changed so much. BF3 was so solid. Maybe I'm a bit butt-hurt I wasn't expecting such a drastic change and performance hit.
