Zyn Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 I give up. I've played several games in a row where I have been promoted, got weaponpacks, and used boosts, only to have it torn out of my hands as the server crashes, making all of your efforts a waste of time. And for 63 other players. Quote
El Moroes Posted November 2, 2013 Report Posted November 2, 2013 Mmmh I just finished the campaign and I wasted my time... Let's check the multiplayer mode now with the hope to find the same (and better) sensations than BF3 ! Quote
knj Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 oh and 2 more questions: there are not any coop mission this time ? (shame, i really liked it in BF3) can i customize my soldier offline ? Quote
Pampers Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 you can customize everything in battlelog, or via the mobile app, even if you are ingame Quote
knj Posted November 3, 2013 Report Posted November 3, 2013 hm ok my bad, i said it wrong. Can i customize my soldier and gear in game menu (not while in match ?) Quote
Sprony Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 After 2 days of trying every 'fix' out there I give up. Checking CPU cores, turning of Hyper Threading, custom configs, new drivers, running the 32 bit version, setting everything to low, making changes in the Nvidia control Panel, etc. It's a bit disappointing because after hours of Googling is has become apparent that this is not a new issue and was already present in the beta (with some very vocal people). Why Dice didn't address this before release one will never know. i reckon you're having trouble with the cpu throttling? have you checked your cpu and gp usage during play (with cpuid / msi afterburner)? my gf had frame drops every 20 secs on bf3 (which has had ALOT of CPU related issues, like bf4) and it turned out the cpu was throttling. parking the cores fixed it for me (and yes, i've tried out every single solution there was - practically reprogrammed the bios lol). I thought the whole idea was to unpark the cores? Anyway guys, check this: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065217944685108/1/ Should I be worried they didn't didn't mention CPU/GPU spikes and extreme stuttering? Still can't play. Quote
knj Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 ok, been playing a lot yesterday on conquest, and it starting to get the shapes, positive reaction Quote
ZZZ Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) PS3 / X360 look good. I mean, apart from obvious texture downgrade, shaders downgrade, draw distance, distance fog, ridiculous aggressive lod, etc. The geometry level, baked lighting, faces, uniforms, wet reflections, look pretty close to PC / PS4 / Xbox one. But I don't understand why they made frame rate sacrifices along with baked lighting and reduced player count while keeping maps sizes. a PC with 512MB of RAM and a Geforce 8 with 256MB GDDR3 would never run it. knj Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 OK serious question attack chopper: in previous BF's after shooting all the rockets, it was automatic reload and again all the rockets are ready to use, why here after some time you can't shoot rockets and need to wait (don't know how long, don't know why) and this is really bad ? chopper are too easy to shoot down right now imo, they are not as movable as in BF3 and the new damage system is very weak ! a guy shooting at you form 50cal can kill you very easy too easy IMO Quote
Thrik Posted November 4, 2013 Author Report Posted November 4, 2013 FWIW you should post these criticisms to DICE, I assume they have a proper feedback forum or form. With Battlefield 3 a lot of serious balance changes were made during the first few months because of feedback by players in the official forums, which is one thing that I do like about DICE — they're bold enough to experiment with long-established mechanics, but humble enough to change them if they suck. Otherwise Battlefield would be like many other franchises where each sequel is the same gameplay but with a different coat of paint. I mean, it's important to remember that Battlefield 3 is still there if you want the same gameplay as before, hell even Battlefield 2 is as long as you don't mind playing with ultra-dedicated hardcore assholes. With any luck the game will be nice and balanced by the time I get it in a few months. Quote
Sprony Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Good point. If anyone else is experiencing stutter and CPU/GPU spikes. Please post it here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf4/forum/threadview/2955065218176570056/ Quote

You can let out three or four full bursts then will have to wait for the next set to be replenished. Quick search bought me to this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHGWXIcx_9Y I take it you play in hardcore so you can't see your ammo? Hop into normal mode or go to the test range and you should figure it out quick enough knj 1 Quote
knj Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Thanks man ! i think i need to start watching some BF4 tutorials lol and yes test range with all vehicles is just great, but i want some coops Quote

Sprony Posted November 4, 2013 Report Posted November 4, 2013 Nice But sadly it doesn't, at least not for me. Quote
