FMPONE Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 Ammo conservation is a bitch in this game. Talk about an old school mechanic. Loving it. -HP- and Izuno 2 Quote
dux Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 I'm finding it the opposite, too much ammo and too much health. I'm playing on hardest difficulty. I am doing one shot headshots an awful lot, though. Quote
-HP- Posted May 20, 2014 Report Posted May 20, 2014 So you guys recomend going expert I'm assuming, right? Quote
dux Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 If you're good at headshots yes. Just about everything goes down to one shot. Hardest part of the game for me so far was the secret level haha. Those guys hurt! -HP- 1 Quote

Those guys hurt! What secret level? The original first Wolfenstein level. You access it by sleeping in the Nightmare bed in the Resistance hideout. Sprony 1 Quote
D3ads Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Dem textures, seriously nice looking art in this game from the footage I've watched! Glad to see the Nazi icons are in the final build, was a bit worried they'd been omitted with the pre-release media, it's not Nazi Germany unless you've got rotated swastikas and iron crosses! dux Posted May 21, 2014 Report Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) There's even swastika tattoos yo. Edited May 21, 2014 by dux D3ads 1 Quote

FMPONE Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 It feels as if I'm nearly complete with my first run through. So much quality everywhere, so many strange decisions, so much I would change, so much I love. It's a great game, but such a mixed bag. Very uneven but very well made at the same time. It's like I want to point out all these things that bug me, but I don't want to be a hater, because it's really a solid quality experience also. This game is a good example of doing the fundamentals right concept art-wise, design-wise, mechanics-wise, and how far that can take you when other things get messy. Quote
Sprony Posted May 25, 2014 Author Report Posted May 25, 2014 This is the most fun I had with a shooter in years. Sure, there are some complaints but they quickly melt away against all it's awesomeness. But let's mention them anyway: Both gameplay and story are great but they feel forced upon one another. It's a clear distinction between "now you play" and "now you sit and watch". Makes it feel very gamey and it takes you out of the experience. I think in-game cinematics would have been better. Especially considering the volume of story intersections. Kinda like how Half Life 2 did it. Using two keys to lean for instance is really counter intuitive. You can't fix that in the menu and I don't understand this design decision. The same goes for other moves. Control wise those things could have been done better. The AI could use a bit of extra polish and some bits are a bit buggy (mostly AI related). That's it for me. Quote
