Shit, I'm still fucking cracked weather or not to get this, but THIS IS NEW MGS man . . . .

Follow your gut and fuck the media. If you're excited about this, get it... We live in times where it's too easy to get influenced by other peoples opinions. Sometimes we have to stick to our own.

I always admired MGS, but never owned a PS, when I tried MGS1 on PC, after having played Splinter Cell, I found it immensely archaic and unplayable.

So I've been excited to jump on the bandwagon since the first material, especially after the gameplay demo that suggests immensely open levels where to prove yourself (in a formula that goes back to my 12 year old dreams) and controls up to the modern times (even in the MGS4 demos to change weapon you had to open up a menu – if I remember correctly).

I'm baffled by all the promotion strategy after the proper reveal. I'll go on a limb and say that Kojima is behaving like an attention whore, putting out pointless statements whenever the attention is on some game that is actually coming out, while his is due in two years :-|

And about the size… a Project IGI single map was like 100 times bigger than the camp of Ground Zeroes.

Jesus I remenber that game, I wasn't very critical on my teens, I loved every single game I played but I remenber really disliking Project IGI gameplay decisions.

Finished the main mission earlier today, it is pretty short but really good. It's great to play an MGS game with mechanics that aren't completely shite (Well, MGS4 was probably the first MGS game that didn't feel super awkward, but still). Love the way the character controls and feels when you're changing stances and sneaking around. The control default control scheme is still a bit odd tho, plus it looks great running at 60fps on PS4.

Way better than I expected, plus there's plenty of alternative missions that seem really cool, playing one that's taking place during daytime now. Might be a lot to pay for a relatively short experience, but so far I'd say it was worth it, and I didn't even finish any of the alternative missions.

Oh absolutely, it's hard to beat the last one. But right now, it gave me just a little extra glimpse of what MGSV is going to be, it's a good spoiler safe trailer (for the most part) with an awesome music and camera cut. Shame we don't have a release date yet, but it looks to me this might very well be the best MGS ever man

This.

MGS has always been a series u love or u just don't see the point. Once u get it it hooks you despite Kojima-san's eccentricity. His trailers work the same way. Coming 1984. What balls. Love it.
