selmitto Posted June 5, 2012 Report Posted June 5, 2012 I think this event may be of interest of some mapcoreans, so: Watch it right now or you'll miss this unique event. You may watch it again, but only if you remain alive in year 2117. Live streaming from NASA: http://venustransit.nasa.gov/transitofvenus/ "the planet Venus will appear to pass in front of the Sun as seen from the surface of the Earth. This phenomenon, called a transit of Venus, happens only a few times in 250 years. The next one will be in 2117 AD" http://gizmodo.com/5915920/why-the-venu ... ic-history Quote
Youme Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 I watched it. Unfortunately for me, the Earth was also transiting the sun at the same time. I did get to see the transit 8 years ago though and I see Venus a lot day to day so I'm not too fussed Quote
Sentura Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 you make it sound like you and venus are bros, bro Quote
-HP- Posted June 6, 2012 Report Posted June 6, 2012 Some people still don't believe me when I say the brightest star in the sky is actually venus, not a star. Some people are duuuuh. Quote
