Grinwhrl Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 This looks like a PS3 game, on Ps4 that's sad When it rains and its night, it turns next gen. (as they say) Pampers 1 Quote
knj Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 That was my first idea as well, but at night it still doesn't look good, havn't seen rain yet tho, anyways at night and day (without rain its flat as hell) Quote
Jenn0_Bing Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Yeah, Upaly is kaput. I nearly didn't pre-order because of how awful Uplay is. Kinda wondering why I did now. Quote
dux Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Uplay is a pile of ballsacks. Tried to redeem my free game voucher (Ass Creed black flag) through it and I gave up in the end because of how shit the service was. -HP- and Sprony 2 Quote

Mazy Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Played it for some 3-4 hours, it's pretty good so far. However one thing that really drags it down for me is how floaty and unresponsive the driving feels. In a post-GTA V world then the driving mechanics just feel really unpolished, or maybe it's just a matter of me having gotten a bit too used to GTA V'ish snappy car grip. Not super thrilled about the feel of the shooting either. Visually it's something of a mixed bag, but in general it looks quite good. Again, in a post GTA V world then it just pales in comparison, and that from playing this on a PS4. Quote
Taylor Swift Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Don't believe the hype. This is just another Assassin's Creed debacle where Ubisoft Montreal failed to optimize their game. IF you can miraculously load into the game without becoming frustrated, the game play is interesting. However, very over hyped, I spent the last two hours attempting to play through the game with intermittent freezing and skipping making the game unplayable. I have a GTX 760 Overclocked 4MB and I cannot run this game. I meet all of the specifications and the game still runs like crap. Don't waste your money. ------ For obvious reasons, the fan boys will disagree, however many people are experiencing these same issues including stuttering and freezing during driving, general game play, crashes, or not being able to start the game. I wanted to like this game, I was anticipating this game for two years., and now I want my money back. Edited May 27, 2014 by Nz-Nexus Quote
marks Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 holy shit my eyes hurt trying to read that Quote
blackdog Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 @Mazy: it's (unfortunately) clear from a simple randomly picked recent video that the car is basically just pivoting on it's central axis. Ridiculous, and not because of GTA5. Despite they throw 2000 staff at these projects, you can easily find indies doing better… and I think I've read that they even knocked at the door of the Driver's devs? O.o Quote

blackdog Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Is that a downgrade or was that "techdemo" a total fake? Quote
Vilham Posted May 28, 2014 Report Posted May 28, 2014 Its the same thing when it comes to E3 demos. These days almost nothing that is in an E3 demo from lighting, particles, models, bespoke anims etc doesn't get put in the full release. Regardless of how they did it, they knew the end product wouldn't be able to be like that. Quote
blackdog Posted May 30, 2014 Report Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Pc and next-gen look the same to me (on mobile)http://www.gamespot.com/videos/watch-dogs-graphics-comparison/2300-6419010/ Except for the lighting that's different on every platform (ps4 seems to be the intended one, just a tad too dark?)
