Skjalg Posted July 7, 2012 Report Posted July 7, 2012 Yeah, I've often wondered something similar myself. If valve will do anything drastic to how dota works. But I doubt they will. Also for reference on game length, heres a graph of the lenght of my last 50 games; As you see it looks like it usually takes 45-50 minutes for each match, just like in Hon. Also, end game heroes usually move around a lot more than in the beginning. People have bought better shoes, drums, S&Y, MoM, blink dagger, force staff and all these other stuff that affects movement speed or can teleport you (BoT) places. But yeah, It is way slower and I have heard a lot of my friends who came from HoN complain about the same thing in the beginning. Even some of the LoL players felt that it was very awkward last hitting creeps because of how slow the animation was. But it only took a few matches until it feels natural again, so just try to stick with it Quote
Zyn Posted July 19, 2012 Report Posted July 19, 2012 Finished Max Payne 3 (one of many games bought during this Steam sale) last night, and I liked it Quote
General Vivi Posted December 3, 2012 Author Report Posted December 3, 2012 I loved this game! I cried at the ending for serious. The entire game I tried hard to please everyone and it ended up costing me. Did anyone else Hide their bite? I mean... in a zombie apocalypse, if you get bit... you best hide that shit or your friends will kill you! In the end I went to find Clementine on my own and she saved my life by killing the creeper. I'm def going to play this game again. I played my first play-through very methodically, only saving people that would be useful to the group. Example: episode 1 I tried to save the guy stuck under the tractor instead of "Duck" reason: The older son would be more useful still though, Doug is fucked again... who cares if you can hack computers in the zombie apocalypse! Person with gun always wins. How did you guys play? Interested to hear! Quote
Beck Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) How did you guys play? Interested to hear! Obvious spoilers ahead I showed the group my bite and they were shocked and wanted to help me find Clementine more since she really had nobody now. I ended up chopping my arm off but I still got infected in the end and died. I tried to save everybody I could, it kind of sucked that Lily killed Carley. I liked Carley! I'm pretty sure it ends the same for everyone. The story is a single timeline with branches which come off every so often but they always rejoin the main line. Different play-throughs will be slightly different though, I've seen a few cut-scenes I never saw. Great game though, really showed how horrible a zombie apocalypse could be! PogoP Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Yeah I showed my bite and chose to chop my arm off. Played through the rest of the game waving a stump around. I saved Doug in my game, and he was just useless anyway. He ends up getting shot by Lilly. I then left Lilly by the side of the road and got on the train. Also, towards the end, I saved Ben. Then shortly after, we were all jumping out of a window, and Ben falls down and gets impaled by the balcony post. Then for some weird fuckin reason, Kenny decided to lock himself down there with Ben and do some kind of suicide attempt to save Ben, when it was blatantly obvious that Ben was going to die. Only part of the game that I thought was a bit stupid. I told Christa and Omid to meet me outside the city but obviously.. That nevers happens. Did anyone choose to have the romantic relationship with Clementine? I thought that was a bit odd. The candelit dinner in the school was fucked up. Quote
Taylor Swift Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 red alert 1. it was harder then i tought Quote
D3ads Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 Uncharted 3 for the second time, couldn't stop playing until it was done again! U2 is still the best though. 2d-chris and -HP- 2 Quote
Chimeray Posted December 8, 2012 Report Posted December 8, 2012 (edited) The Unfinished Swan (only on PSN I think?). Played it one go since it's rather short... but in a good way! I definitely recommend it! Near flawless pacing and really nice game mechanics. Edited December 8, 2012 by Chimeray Quote

PogoP Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 Just finished Dark Souls. The end is so sad I'm crying right now... Wonderfull game, waiting for the second. I absolutely love that game. I played it on 360, it's a really unique world that they have created. Something very mysterious about it. Never actually finished it though, I think I overdid it! What was it like on PC? Did you use a controller to play it or not? Quote
ElectroSheep Posted January 12, 2013 Report Posted January 12, 2013 Yes I used a ps3 pad and also a fix to make it looks better. Quote

blackdog Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 I played The Walking Dead Episode 1 yesterday evening, does it counts? Great game really, doubtfully "GOTY", but I have to play all the episodes to comment on that. I was hoping to have more impact on the story, which in my first run I approached trying to be as much of a jerk I could. Quote
Taylor Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 I finished Hotline Miami. I did not realise this was by Cactus, I would have finished this back when there was a thread about it. Second to second gameplay is fantastic, though every time it tried to deviate it got a little frustrating, i.e. boss battles, The surreal story pieces didn't seem to really amount to anything, though. Maybe I'm just stupid. Quote
Sentura Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 they do get put together in the end, although for me there's still a few lose ends. still by far goty 2012 for me. everything before the hospital level is in a dream that he is gradually awakening from... Quote
