Hello friends,

It has been a long time with no news related to Space Shock. Now, we would like to show you something completely new and, we hope, more exciting than everything before. Space Shock will have Turn-based combat instead of any kind of (boring) real-time one, bringing more tactics and strategy into this RPG game. We hope you would like it and any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Wow, looking good!

One thing about the combat is that the animations look very weak and slow. The game could feel a lot better with faster paced and more visceral animations. I'd say to try scaling up combat effects like 3 times and trying some really over the top animations :)

I agree the slow pace kind of makes it boring to watch, but you seem to have all the ingredients to make something really special. I would increase the tension and make it a bit spookier and more atmospheric, that way you're willing to get into more of a sci fi creepy crawly vibe and enjoy the maybe slower pace. The key then would be to have explosive moments.

All in all the art is looking really nice

Shooting FX looks way to slow and no bad-ass at all and I wish to see some fog of war/DOF effect to cut the far corridors. Anyway I really like the environments, it reminds me Gorky 17 and Incubation - great memories and games! I hope to see more env types/skins. Good luck!

I'm always excited about turn-based strategy, but I agree that the animations need to be much faster. One thing I love about Advance tactis, for example, is how fast you can breeze by a turn if you know exactly what you want done.

Thanks for all comments. I agree with all of you and I promise you everything will be changed and replaced with the perfect stuff, it is only a prototype of the game we want to make. For me it is only a blockout full of placeholders waiting for final stuff ;]
