knj Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 The debut trailer for our first game Reset. Everything you see in the trailer is straight from the in-game engine, no up-ressed textures, geometry or effects. What you see is what you will get. Except hopefully a little bit better since we're not even in alpha yet. two guys is making this, what do ya think ? Quote
cincinnati Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 time-lapse as gameplay/environment element? maybe not, but if that's all in-engine, it certainly can be done. Quote
Furyo Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 I love the trailer for what it does. Just great narration without falling in the usual pit of self righteousness and taking itself too serious. Good stuff. As for the whole in engine recording, fine, Valve does that too. Show me these are game assets then I'll be properly impressed Quote
e-freak Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 yeah, Crytek, Valve (and Epic, I guess) have done all trailers and videos in-Engine for years. The tech seems to work in that trailer but it doesn't prove too much as of yet. (Blending between textures/materials - easy, growing trees - case of assets (could be pointcaches, could be clever rigging)...) one of the obvious flaws in this for example is the DoF in the shot with the dead guy in the foreground - the background is smearing into the blurred beard. still very nice though and I guess there's a lot of potential in there Quote
Froyok Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 It looks very nice, I'm curious to see how their tools are designed behind that. Quote
kleinluka Posted April 29, 2012 Report Posted April 29, 2012 This looks really interesting. I love the music! Quote

Jetsetlemming Posted April 30, 2012 Report Posted April 30, 2012 The direction and implied thematic setting was awesome, and I'm a huge sucker for well done rain effects. Love it. Quote
Zarsky Posted May 13, 2012 Report Posted May 13, 2012 Hello Mapcore! My first post here....yay. Got pretty excited about this game and thought I'd share it here. Short description: Reset is a single player co-op first person puzzle game with a strong emphasis on story and atmosphere. The unique game mechanic in Reset is the ability to travel back in time to solve puzzles co-operatively, with yourself. Screenshot of their editor: It's PC-only, and the engine is DX11 based. More info can be found here. Quote

Zarsky Posted December 19, 2012 Report Posted December 19, 2012 (edited) The tech is still work-in-progress with know issues, for example the volume shadow resolution (aliasing) needs some work. The tech is designed to work well close to the sea level, but in the video the camera is lifted almost to the cloud level to show you how the volume works. The tech begins to break down the higher the camera is lifted. Some talk about their tech. The clouds look quite good.....or maybe they clouded my judgement? Edited December 19, 2012 by Zarsky Quote
-HP- Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Remember this? Apparently it's still going, we might see a new trailer soon. http://reset-game.net/ 2d-chris, AtsEst, Sentura and 4 others 7 Quote

Zarsky Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 fuck, that light ! Quote form one of the devs about the light tech: We use ray marching for the volumetric lighting, but it’s not full RT engine like Otoy’s Brigade. And it’s our own engine. They're launching their crowdfunding campaign 28th of October, then we'll see the first gameplay footage. -HP- 1 Quote
