tharxzet Posted March 31, 2012 Report Posted March 31, 2012 Hi! I imported an object (like a house) to CryEngine in Geom Entity session. But in scene object has no rigid physics. The player pass by the object as if nothing is in place. So, how can I add the rigid effect to object? Quote
e-freak Posted March 31, 2012 Report Posted March 31, 2012 hey, did you use 3Ds Max or Maya or Sketchup? In any case: The thing you're missing is a so called Proxy. You might either set the material for your model to physicalize and let the Engine do the proxy for you or you could place Proxy Geometry withing your DCC-Software and mark it as Proxys by giving it an appropriate Sub-Material. Here's a very good description of how this works http://freesdk.crydev.net/display/SDKDOC3/Physics+Proxy Quote
tharxzet Posted April 1, 2012 Author Report Posted April 1, 2012 It's a really different process than could thought. With this link I think I can adjust it. Works now! x) I forget to create the collider called "proxy" to make that rigid object. Without it doesn't works. Just search for it: CryEngine 3 Tutorial - 3ds Max Custom Models and Textures Thanks!
