TomWithTheWeather Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Now us losers who dont have it can get a feel for the engine! Exit steam and log back on for hl2 demo! So it's an engine demo? I want to play HL2, reguardless of what engine it uses. Quote
skdr Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 There's few playable levels from the game, including Ravenholm and few from the beginning. Quote

st0lve Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Its SMART to release a demo BEFORE the game is out, so that people can go "WOW I GOT TO BUY THIS!" (yes with caps lock), insted of "oh helloes whats the purpose of a demo when almost everyone got the game?"... Just dumb. Quote
Bluestrike Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 Bah no uplink like demo everybody could enjoy Quote
Marcos Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 st0lve: Nah, for HL2 (aswell as Doom3) I think it works best the other way around. Because of all the hype this games got, many bought it once it was released. I think the demo is to "convince" the ones that wasn't sure to buy it or not, that this game is hot! Or that they wanted to get hl2 out soon as possible Quote
