Well, last year I met up with some polycounters mostly, but generalvivi was there, it's the only mapcorean that I can think of that attended.

anyone have an idea of what would be a good place for a meetup? (aka: a good bar).

theres a bay area game developement meet up group ive been to and they meet at this restaurant/bar called Jillian's which is at the metreon. GDC is right across the street from the metreon. its not a bar bar, but thats good because its not as loud and easier to actually talk to people

I have no idea for a good place to meet. I heard that all the bars close to GDC are way more expensive then those some blocks away from it.

i know tons of places to go for bars and stuff around the GDC area... depends on what everyone wants Jillians could work but its generally insanely packed

i think last years Polycount meetup was at Lefty O'Doles..... a pretty cool spot, good food.
