Tisky Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 So, i decided to learn some newer technology so i can start working on my portfolio. Installed Cryengine 3 SDK and launched the sandbox editor but it keeps crashing!? Does anyone know why? I run Windows 7, 32-bit and i get this error message when it crashes: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: Editor.exe Application Version: 3.3.7.2572 Application Timestamp: 00000000 Fault Module Name: CrySystem.dll Fault Module Version: 3.3.7.2572 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c00000fd Exception Offset: 005ca205 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1053 Additional Information 1: 0792 Additional Information 2: 0792f41f026121b9e1d489c860161305 Additional Information 3: a351 Additional Information 4: a351baa670960f16469e0412b7b54d9d Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid= ... cid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt Quote
Corwin Posted November 21, 2011 Report Posted November 21, 2011 Can you attach the Editor.log file that you'll find inside the SDK folder? That other error doesn't help really, but the content of the log should Quote

Ginger Lord Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 I believe its 64 bit only, may not be true. Edit: C2 SDK was 64 bit only, so CE3 SDK should be fine. Ignore me Quote
Corwin Posted November 22, 2011 Report Posted November 22, 2011 The log is not reporting anything interesting, which could mean it's not a problem with your SDK setup, but rather with the drivers. What drivers do you have installed? I found this in the release logs of the latest SDK build: "NOTE: The 32-bit version of Sandbox/Launcher may not run with the latest NVidia graphics drivers. We apologize for this problem and recommend you use the 64-bit Editor/Launcher if possible. If you'd still like to use the 32-bit executables, you can download the compatible 275.33 drivers for 32-bit Windows Vista/7" http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvi ... river.html Source: http://www.crydev.net/newspage.php?news=77227 Quote
Tisky Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 Dannit, ill try that tonight. I got a new gfx card together with battlefield three, gtx 570. Got the latest drivers so it might be the problem . Quote
Tisky Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 reinstall? Well it kinda didnt work ever so i dont think its the install. Quote
Tisky Posted November 23, 2011 Author Report Posted November 23, 2011 Well, the driver installation failed.I´l probably install UDK instead, don´t have time for this Quote
Teto Posted November 27, 2011 Report Posted November 27, 2011 Hi! Before you quit : Is your sound device in 5.1 ? In this case, don't seek further, and change it to basic stereo. Crytek's team is working on it. Quote
Tisky Posted December 1, 2011 Author Report Posted December 1, 2011 So.. today it worked. I have no idea why though! :DD:D:DD:D:D:D:D Now i gotta send naked pics to HP so he gets me the Eat3D dvds for free. Quote
