Hi guys, just joined this forum too, though ill share some of my work here as well

working on an M4 atm, here is the hi poly wip so far

EOTech, ahah! ;D This will mean something for us mapcoreans! :P

I'm curious dude, how did you created that grainy effect on your high poly? most people would just overlay this later on the normal map, why and how did you modeled it in max? Is it just a bent plane with a noise modifier?

Sub-d modeling wise, that's a very very clean and flawless modeling, can't see any pinching or errors anywhere.

Regarding the Low Poly, what's your workflow, you strip the high poly piece until it's Low Poly, or you prefer to retopo?

the grain is just a noise bump map, and yea for the low poly ill use the high and remove all the edges i dont need
