jackophant Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 What I love about the situation is that they have only barred them from Valve sponsored events, but in doing so have basically made them untouchable. No one is going to want to team with them because if they're serious about competing, those Valve sponsored events are a target for the team. gg volvo Quote
Squad Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 ESEA, CEVO and FACEIT have also banned them. Quote
tr0nic Posted January 27, 2015 Report Posted January 27, 2015 They really didn't think about the impact it would have on their pro career... They can still stream on twitch and be succesful. They could change identity and have a facial surgery will all the money they got from selling skins. Squad, leplubodeslapin, ShockaPop and 2 others 5 Quote

Max (von A) Posted January 29, 2015 Report Posted January 29, 2015 A big disappointment what happened with the professional gamers with the using Cheats case, and repeatedly preliminary agreement on sport betting . It is not a disappointment to me because never really interested me the proffesional gaming world, but for guys who have their idols on different computers, if it is. Quote
Vaya Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 why is CS:go so inconsistent when I'm inviting people to play on a localhosted server? I managed to get 3 people on FMPone's new map by changing to it and then inviting people. Tried to do the same with a custom map off the workshop but it kicked everyone out when they tried to join :S Quote
El_Exodus Posted January 31, 2015 Report Posted January 31, 2015 When you are loading up map from the workshop, the local server works different. You have to invite your friends to a lobby first, before you can start the server. People also can't join while the server is running. It's a bit strange. Vaya 1 Quote
jackophant Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 The better option would to be try and set your own server up. That way whenever you want to try something out, you can make it live with a password. The locally hosted server as Ex said, is strange. I also find that my screen as host cuts out / goes black when someone joins. Vaya 1 Quote
Vaya Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 I'll probably still use local for now- all I want to do is check the timings with real people before taking it for mapcore testing (don't want to waste everyone's time with an unrefined idea) Quote
jackophant Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 But with your own server you can do whatever you want! You can publish each new iteration directly to it from hammer and ask people to pop on. Or just use the workshop so everyone is up to date. (I'm not sure how to link a dedicated server with the workshop so don' ask me!) If I'm not busy I'm always willing to run around a server. Quote
