Beck Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 Has anyone been watching the MLG tournament this weekend? I was actually surprised with the production quality of the event and the commentators have been doing a great job. The game between NiP and Fnatic yesterday was some of the best CS I've seen. Top notch stuff. The finals are on in about 6 hours. Quote

Squad Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 Final has been pretty enjoyable so far, great play from both teams 'RZL 1 Quote
Beck Posted January 25, 2015 Report Posted January 25, 2015 The final was great but I feel Cobble let it down. I think it's pretty clear none of the teams or community like the map in the competitive scene. I don't mind the map myself but every time it is played by the pros it's always a bit boring I find. I know Valve have put a fair bit of work into the map to try and give the sites some cover and to attempt to shorten the rotation times between sites but I still don't think it's there. I think I'd prefer to see it replaced by Train or Season. Maybe they will once the operation is over? Great tournament though. Had me on the edge of my seat up until Cobble. Quote
Pampers Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Agreed, cobble wasn't that exciting to watch as a spectator either. Loved the inferno match. The overall production was great too When is the next big tournament? Quote
Puddy Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Cobble doesn't really work imho. I dislike it because it has so many corners, angles, spots and potential backstabs. It's like 'Paranoia: The Map'. The finals could've really used one of the other maps as the decider. I don't know which minor tournaments are next, but EMS One Katowice is in March and it'll be awesome! Pampers 1 Quote
Beck Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 There's ClutchCon next weekend with 16 teams attending - http://www.clutchcon.com/counter-strikeglobal-offensive-1 And then as Puddy mentioned EMS One Katowice starts early March - http://www.hltv.org/news/14036-esl-one-katowice-with-250000 Pampers 1 Quote
Vaya Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Cbble should really be removed from the or changed more dramatically than it has already. In comparison overpass is a great map. Really enjoy it. Quote
jackophant Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 It might be more enjoyable if the scale wasn't so large. No matter how many times they change it though, that connector area is still a travesty. I literally didin't watch a single round from MLG, I am le sad Quote
Vaya Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 watch the fnatic vs LDLC game on inferno if you get a chance: Quote
blackdog Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 I don't play much in the first place so I cant manage watching a whole tournament… but keep posting plz, I managed watching a couple of maps from the tournament NiP won with great celebration from everyone. Quote
