text_fish Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 CS:GO was originally intended to be a essentially an updated version of CS:S for consoles, so if they'd have called it CS2 there would have been an outcry from PC gamers. I guess by the time it evolved back in to a more PC-centric game the name CS:GO had stuck? Quote
Taylor Swift Posted August 6, 2014 Report Posted August 6, 2014 this game was released in 2012. now its soon 2015.. is it worth to be bought as a game? Quote

PogoP Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 What's with the random 'Nexon' thrown into the name? That's like calling the next Assassin's Creed: "Assassin's Creed Ubisoft: Unity" or the next Battlefield: "Battlefield DICE: Bad Company 3." Quote
Taylor Swift Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 wtf is going on with valvehttp://www.valvetime.net/threads/counter-strike-nexon-zombies-announced.245391/ hahahahah it should be nexoz... Quote
Thurnip Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 i think this nexon is a kind of publisher on asia... Quote
Puddy Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 This is not Valve stuff, just a crazy asian publisher being crazy with it's crazy asian game. Crazy. leplubodeslapin and Thurnip 2 Quote
Squad Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 It's from the same company that made CS:Online (1 and 2) for the Asian market, which was apparantly made with oversight from VALVe. But apparantly this will be released globally, not just in Asia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWPKgqUPxxA#t=671 Anyway, I think it's pretty weird, no clue why this would get a lot of attention when it's out Thurnip 1 Quote
Erratic Posted August 8, 2014 Report Posted August 8, 2014 I could never really got into GO, so I booted up 1.6 in I don't know how long to figure out wtf is up. Thing's have definitely been lost along the way. I don't if it's just a combination of map scale (player models feel a lot larger in 1.6) + recoil patterns + damage values or what but 1.6 is still top tier. Compared to recent versions it seems a lot less reliant on random as fuck headshots and more about position/map knowledge above all else, since bullets go where you're actually aiming. TTK in GO is fucking microseconds compared to this thing and I think the game is worse for it. 1.6 is just a far more playable game and it's not afraid to actually adjust your screen based on recoil. GO's screen recoil is so minimal I have no feedback as to where the fuck my bullets are going. And is there even a jump penalty in GO, I can't feel it. 1.6 still king. No wonder I spent my entire fucking teenage life playing that game. dux 1 Quote
