Revolver should only have the delayed left-click shot ability, so you have to utilize that properly.

I played some DM earlier today to check it all out and I totally didn't realise there was a faster way to shoot the revolver. Left me wondering why others could pump out two bullets quicker than I could fire one, lol :D

tbh I'm really enjoying DM right now, it's instagib in CS:GO.  

In beta, I remember Valve saying something like "we know everything is really bad right now, we're trying to reign it in," essentially that the wild swings in balance/feel were intentional, just to get everything into an ideal spot.  Maybe that's what they're doing here?  Everything feels weirdly experimental.

Lol, reddit is complaining about the game being more "run and gun/call of duty" when complaining about rifles being harder to move and spray with.  It's almost as if they have no idea what they're talking about!

Do they ever have any idea ?

Alt-tab and smoke magically disappears, r8 have a bug where you can shoot instantly with 100% accuracy :v matchmaking was great fun yesterday

edit: both bugs have been fixed now

I dislike the longer round and bomb timers and I think the rifle nerfs are not a good idea. Should have just looked into the weapon mod instead and made smokes last shorter.

 

The revolver will eventually be balanced, but I think it is a shame since the Deagle just had a huge comeback recently. But honestly: The main problem is really the lowered skill gap. They should really listen to pros more. I mean, tapping and bursting should be made more viable instead of everything being made less viable... The answer to making something less bad is not turning the alternatives bad as well. 

Also, the intransparency of Valve and the lack of a beta client... just why? I'd assume such a huge company would finally be more aware of the strengths their game has and how to delicately balance things.

I just did a overwatch report on someone who abused it. Didn't know it was a exploit. I still think he deserves a VAC ban since he exploited it every round.
People should know better.

 

As for the revolver, I really don't get how valve does things. I mean, what if a 6 shot revolver would have been better? Kinda hard now to revert when you already sold skins for it.

Anyway, I think:

-there should be no kill reward or a 100$ kill reward.
-make it inaccurate while running, but keep accuracy for shift walking
- or, while running, auto decrease speed when you take a shot
-no 1 hit kill for lower torso
-maybe lower damage for right mouse
-bullet by bullet reload so a full reload takes really long
-or, one time speedloader reload, after that bullet by bullet reload

But I had a lot of fun with it :)

Does anybody know how many of these changes will be applied to this weekends ESL ESEA Pro League Season 2 Finals?

I'd love to see some pro players use and abuse these new additions to the game, to see if it's really as bad as everyone seems to think :v
