laminutederire Posted March 11, 2015 Report Posted March 11, 2015 <p> Isn't having fun the purpose of casual games? You have at least the chance to be a good player.. The current state of casual competitive is cancerous. It is not even comparable to a proper 5v5 game, the number of times I've watched T's lose to CT because 5 of them are frag hunting the last guy when they could have just planted the bomb makes my heart hurt. It is not a good environment to play in. You're better off using one of these 3rd party leagues such as (in no particular order):ESEAAltPUGFaceitGameFaceESLUNGL I'll try these, but currently I got a connection with an average 400 ms ping so it is nearly impossible to play at all online. However in such leagues, how do you do when you don't know anyone and you don't know if you suck or not? Quote

They all have stat tracking and/or ranks, which are necessary for effective match making and progress tracking anyway. That and I'm sure the community is toxic enough to let you know how they feel about your skill anyway mid game Squad 1 Quote

Casual is like that. Matchmaking can be better if you get matched with nice people, sometimes they'll help you out and such. Lately I've just not had a good experience on there though. Just played my first game on Faceit and was matched with people pretty close to my skill level I felt which was nice. I'm sure the game will get better after I play more so looking forward to it Feel free to invite me to a game if I'm around. Quote
El_Exodus Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Titan is out and Keyd made it. Rip picks Vaya 1 Quote
Squad Posted March 12, 2015 Report Posted March 12, 2015 Titan is out and Keyd made it. Rip picks Go Keyd! Titan kinda ruined my picks so far though Quote
Puddy Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Yeah, bloody Titan. Was wrong about Hellraisers and Titan. I don't understand why I picked Hellraisers, the eastern disappointment team. Quote
Vaya Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Downplaying penta, supporting titan + CLG: Least today looks pretty straight forward - Vote for the top 4 - 32 easy points? Quote
Beck Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Yeah voted for Fnatic, Envy, NiP and VP. Should be pretty straight forward but would love to see the lower teams put up a good fight. First game between Envy and NaVi is about to start http://www.twitch.tv/esl_csgo Quote
Vaya Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 (edited) Envy currently 4 rounds down on CT cache. Edit - T side actually. So not so bad Edited March 13, 2015 by Vaya Quote
text_fish Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Did GuardiaN say his mum died last night? I was only half paying attention and nobody seems to have mentioned it since but he looked really sad! Quote
Beck Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 Envy currently 4 rounds down on CT cache. Edit - T side actually. So not so bad NaVi had an awesome first 6 rounds on CT. Was beautiful to watch. Did GuardiaN say his mum died last night? I was only half paying attention and nobody seems to have mentioned it since but he looked really sad! I hope that's not true Quote
jackophant Posted March 13, 2015 Report Posted March 13, 2015 I forgot to make my picks last night and managed to only make 2 now... went to bed at 6.45pm with worst cold of my life DAMN YOU IMMUNE SYSTEM MAKING ME LOSE OUT Quote
Beck Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 Tomorrow's picks are going to be so hard. I want VP to make it to the final but Fnatic are really playing well at the moment. But so are VP... Argh! EnvyUs haven't done too well this year but have really stepped up their game for ESL. NiP (who I'm assuming will make it to the semi's) are doing great too. I CAN'T DECIDE!!! Either way, great games ahead! Quote
Squad Posted March 14, 2015 Report Posted March 14, 2015 So hard indeed! VP also has homecrowd advantage, which can not be underestimated imo. Gonna decide after a good night sleep (and the last quarterfinal), don't wanna spoil my streak now Vaya 1 Quote
