Uncle Ho Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Flint's Bay is a mod for Half-life 2 being devoloped by the fledgling mod team Homicidal Clown Productions. It is a horror mod set on the coast near a small port town called Flint's Bay. The area is full of ghost stories and tales of evil, but most scoff at it as nothing but the superstition of a few drunken old salts. However, disapearences at sea have become troublingly common as of late. As Halloween approaches, the locals are gearing up for the "Freak Festival", an annual Halloween party by the bay. Features include: -Involved plot with several unique NPC's -Almost all friendly NPC's are unique -A several settings including docks, a haunted house, a lighthouse, an aquarium, a haunted carnival, and others... -Plenty of enemies including zombies, ghosts, and monsters from the sea -Plenty of weapons to take the "un" out of "undead", including axes, hunting rifles, homemade bombs, spearguns, and anything around your environment -Use your environment when your low on ammo, your surroundings are potentially just as deadly (if not more) then a bullet. -Original Soundtrack provided by Hmmm Records. This is our current roster: Uncle Ho: Project Leader, Writer, Voice talent, Musician, Concept artist, skinner hmmm: Webmaster, Voice talent, musician Kaltegesta: Modeller unsane: Mapper n00dle: coder We are looking for: -Mappers -Texture Artists -Modellers (particularly character modellers and maybe someone to do foliage) -coders -Particle Developers This is an amateur mod, so we don't expect to be compensating anyone, but if you're really good, we'll talk. Our site isn't up quite yet, but should be within 2 weeks, for now go to http://www.hmmmrecords.com/forum You can find a more detailed plot summary, and weapon list there. Post in the applications thread in Flint's Bay if you're interested. Here is some of the stuff we have: static fishingpole prop a small WIP map (not being worked on as unsane is in the HL2 mapping contest) An early version of the Hunting rifle (Kaltegesta hasn't sent me a new one yet) So, what do you guys think?

Uncle Ho Posted December 15, 2004 Author Report Posted December 15, 2004 Aww, I was hoping this was a fishing mod ;( Team 1: fish Team 2: fishermen Gameplay: teamplay DEATHmatch Are you serious or are you just taunting me?
JynxDaddy Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 You say you can use your enviroment as a weapon? I'm going to guess no gravity gun, so can you use planks of wood as a bat or something? That would rock.
Uncle Ho Posted December 15, 2004 Author Report Posted December 15, 2004 We're exploring what all is going to be possible. That's one of the things I was planning. But you can also knock out supports and make heavy objects fall on your enemies.

Just having a bit of fun. However a fishing mod sounds strangely alluring right now...weird.
FrieChamp Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Doesn't sound too bad, a fishing mod would've been cool though Homicidal Clown Productions I like your team's name.
Uncle Ho Posted December 16, 2004 Author Report Posted December 16, 2004 Yeah, I must admit that the fishing thing is kind of a cool idea  But right now I'm looking for members for this mod, or suggestions. I'd also be open to other places I could look. Also, in terms of compensation, how much exactly would you guys generally want? Would it be like $50 or $110.
insta Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Zombie seagulls? God, 2005 will be a great year for mods.
Bic-B@ll Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Acid poop rains from the sky. The future of man kind is doomed.
RD Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 interesting not very interested in singleplayer mapping tho. This project is probably gonna run for several years before its released and then ppl play it for half a day, so thats what i dont like about sp mapping. The fishing mod is a brilliant idea that you should consider seriously
