I mean the trailer itself is kind of cool. I like how they went all-in with the world war theme.

But the story will probably be whimsical at best, the bread and butter SP gameplay will most likely be as dull as the last few entries and the MP will probably be same-old same-old (which includes non-existent balancing).

Loved CoD4, but every single entry after that has been... well, meh.

I totally agree, they waste their lives playing computer games while people like you and me live life to the max, pulling woman after woman by umm......posting on newspaper forums? When I put it like that I'd rather by the bloke playing the games.

Anyway, I'll don't play this game like I don't played other COD since the 2. I don't like realistic modern very boring war game (bing bam boum !!!). I just play BFBC2 in multiplayer because it's a great coop game but never finished the solo (ZZZZZZZzzzzzzz).

Well...it's definitely a Call of Duty game...er a Modern Warfare game. I view this how Madden or FIFA loyalists view those games: you're going to buy the new game every year. I admit it: I enjoy CoD/MW games and I ain't gonna skip this one. I know what I'm getting and I won't really have to challenge my brain to much to learn something new...and it will interesting sequences like rail shooting and boats and flying things and falling skyscrapers. And maybe it will do something "controversial" that will get it banned in North Korea etc. The horror. Oh and I'll get BF3, too.

So fuck yeah, I'm in.

Elite trailer. Getting nonstop chatter/email about this. At least it's something to talk about. Devil will be in the details/pricing for this to have a chance. Haven't fully digested this myself. So not sure what I think of it other than I understand the theory...basically integrating all the social networking and competitive stuff into the game itself and charging for access to it...tho otherwise MP will be free without Elite. I get the point that it's just another way for ATVI to attempt to reach into our pockets but I won't pass full judgement until I at least see the beta and see if people actually enjoy it. I mean, if it were $5/month and it was incredibly awesome then I suppose why not...but anyway, tbd. At least the trailer has somewhat of a sense of humor though of course it is pure corporate PR.
