Vilham Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Cod4 had a semi believable story line, that is what made it a good game and the multiplayer wasn't completely unbalanced. Since then its become so absurd I just don't bother with them anymore. Quote
sarge mat Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 COD4 had 2-3 scenes that really blew your mind mixed in with good pacing and an almost anti war themed story. MW2 onwards tired to shock you ever 20 mins and went completely team america, fuck yea. Quote

I don't get the Team America thing in MW2 considering the US was getting its poopoo pushed in the entire game, the SAS Team was still doing all the "real" work, and it was a US General that was trying to kick off World War 3. MW2 was definitely a little too fast paced, constantly pushing you through every level from start to finish with no time to take in the scenery, but I still maintain it is one of the best single-player campaigns of this generation. It may have been a 6 hour rollercoaster, but every minute of that 6 hours was pure awesome. Quote
Serenius Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Also, was it Sledgehammer that did the MW3 SP campaign? It almost feels like an Obsidian production. I've heard the multiplayer and coop are excellent, making me believe that IW handled those portions. Quote
Thrik Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 What distinguishes MW3's multiplayer from MW1 and MW2, out of curiosity? Quote
Froyok Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Gosh, If you use the setting "extra" in the game settings, the resolution is set on the console resolution and afterward upscalled to the screen resolution. Quote

Serenius Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Thanks for the tip, Froyok! Made the game look much better. Sadly, the single player campaign had the same issue Rage did. By the time the game finally got its legs and started getting good, it was over. Quote
Izuno Posted November 29, 2011 Author Report Posted November 29, 2011 As for MW3 SP, I kinda liked the very end sequence when you kill Makarov despite the QTEs. It was a moment of pure revenge though I wasn't too emotionally involved to really give a shit but it was at least kinda interesting. I mean, it could have been much worse, right? Then I wouldn't get to put this annoying spoiler taggage everywhere in this incredibly stupid post. Quote
Mazy Posted November 29, 2011 Report Posted November 29, 2011 Izuno is showing levels of boredom that are only present after playing MW3 Quote
Izuno Posted November 29, 2011 Author Report Posted November 29, 2011 Izuno is showing levels of boredom that are only present after playing MW3 True, but I mostly liked the last level. Mostly. Quote

Warby Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 cant people just look at the model in the editor or open the .md3 file with any model viewer and check if its the same ? or is there no sdk ? (yet?) Quote
Zyn Posted December 1, 2011 Report Posted December 1, 2011 There hasn't been any proper SDK or the like since MW1 (the last good CoD). The tools for Black Ops were merely just some scripting and particle editor iirc. Quote
