knj Posted November 24, 2012 Report Posted November 24, 2012 so i've played a lil bit longer than an one h, and really like it, the prolog ending was sad as shit the new hitman voice sound very much like the old one ! as for such a short time i've been playing love it so far i was very against stuff like instinct, but it is getting handy at times, so aint that bad - i know some of you did say that checkpoint system is worse that before, for me at this point it is hard to say, need to play more Quote
Rick_D Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 lmao i take it all back. played up until Hope now. this has some of the worst writing ever lol, possibly worse than the movie heh. every single woman is either a slut or a vunerable child/old crone. the enemies are laughably "unlikable" (whatever happened to subtlety). i love the guy who complains about having an erection as he dies, i bet someone's 10 year old son had a good chuckle over that. it's not so much a hitman game as a kind of strange perversion of a hitman game. but really i could probably overlook a lot of the silly stuff if the writing and plot weren't so incredibly laughable. please don't make a sequel. knj Posted November 25, 2012 Report Posted November 25, 2012 at this point i'm in the library, and i'm so disappointed that this level is different that the one from last year trailer, and at some point changing clothes is pointless - like i was in a police uniform, and the guys in a chopper knew i'm not a police officer WTF? and again i the library gameplay - the same part, hitman walks on the roof like a boss, now this is impossible Quote

It sort of forces you to do exactly what the designers wanted you to do. At the point I am in the game I am starting to get a little tired of being forced to do certain things and I can't wait to start it on easy and just murder everybody relentlessly as a kind of impotent protest. Chimeray Posted November 26, 2012 Report Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) So far I really enjoy it! It gets a bit repetitive in some areas if you play it for too long in a row though. And the story could've been better, definitely since it plays such a big role on the level designs... Kinda breaks pacing a bit here and there but won't go into details not to spoil anything I'm also frustrating myself by playing silently... The score is right there in my face and getting a silent assassin rating feels so good. I probably would've kept on playing with a fuck up here and there if failure wasn't written all over the screen if you messed up... So not sure I like that tbh :/ I end up going back to checkpoints quite a bit. Checkpoints are also kinda broken imo, you just go back to some prerecorded state rather than an actual save. Which is sad since it doesn't save all the instinct I had up to that point (often a full bar), nor the corpses of targets so it seems... So that feels completely wrong because often I just go back to a save because I want to, not because the game forced me to (death, etc) and yet it ends up punishing me On a different note... I really hope the Montreal team doesn't go bananas with Hitman and make the same transition between their last 2 Splinter Cell games :s Hitman is really fun as a stealth game so keep it that way! No Bourne 47 please. Edited November 26, 2012 by Chimeray Mazy 1 Quote
Mazy Posted December 1, 2012 Author Report Posted December 1, 2012 BTW, the disguise system/attention gain is being heavily tweaked in the next patch, for Hard, Expert and Purist difficulties. Makes it a lot more forgiving (and easier I guess), but IMO also a lot more fun. Quote
knj Posted December 2, 2012 Report Posted December 2, 2012 Ok some more about it, i like the game in general, at this point i have some desight issues with disguise system, hope the patch will fix that. The story is ok i quess, the mission in open environment are great, many ways to kill your target. But i was a lil dissapointed - some missions (not tak out your target kind, those more story based) i was just killing everyone, it was not as easy in the old games IMO, and i played on normal diff. The contracts mode saves the day giving the game much more life time as i said in general it is good Hitman game, but not as i was hoping for it - sandbox in every mission ! Quote
El Moroes Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 Ahaha, hello Lynch (with all his drugs). I like his dialog with the PNJ ^^ D3ads and ⌐■_■ 2 Quote
knj Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 yep, and there is Kane (the guy who starts a fight in the bar, again with broken nose) Quote
Thrik Posted December 3, 2012 Report Posted December 3, 2012 lol. That's a weirdly appropriate Easter egg. Quote
