Puddy Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Nah, I'm pretty sure they don't do it that way. Though I'm not a spokesperson. Quote
ng.aniki Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 But then people trade in those steam keys and you get that same steam key afterwards? Meaning you just lost the publisher a sale... Which, needless to say, hurts the industry. Or is this not how it works after all? I guess publishers sells the keys to other stores than Steam, GMG being one of them. After, GMG may sell them really cheap, and make less or no profits on this title for a short period, but it serves also as an advertisement for the website. People buying this game really cheap there might like the service of the website and choose it later over other websites for future purchase. Quote
Chimeray Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Aight thx for the clarity guys Quote
Skjalg Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) Norwegian gaming site gave it a 2 out of 6. Basically not recommending a purchase at all. Plus: Agile game engine, impressive crowds, a handful of large maps. Minus: Outdated game mechanics, too many small and crampy sneak levels, bad story, provoking misogny, lacks real freedom. edit; Another norwegian one gave it a 7/10 but this one was written in a dialect I cant bother to read. Puddy Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Seems like reviewers are a bit polarized. Some think the game is in the 8-9/10 range and some give it really low scores... I will have to see for myself tomorrow! Quote
ng.aniki Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Looks like the big fan of Blood Money and were waiting for something really close are the disappointed ones. Unfortunately I think I am part of them, I have been waiting for this game for a long time now. SplinterCell Conviction gameplay (Hide behind boxes and insta kill 5 guys with one button) was interesting but it's not what I was expecting for a Hitman game . I still hope I will like it ! Quote
Mazy Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 Aye, quite polarizing indeed, though it does seem like most reviewers generally like it. Gonna be very interesting to see where the metacritic score lands at around 40 reviews. Launch party tomorrow, getting seriously drunk will probably help General Vivi and Sentura 2 Quote
General Vivi Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 Robert, Francois, Jobye and myself watched your hospital? play through at PAX earlier this year. I shouted out loud "Damn you Mazy!" when I saw the 1 vent in the level. <3 *updated* added Jobye's name** Mazy and Skjalg 2 Quote

Rick_D Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 I'm going to play through this soon, we'll have a little Mapcore Review session. That'll be fun. D3ads and Mazy 2 Quote
Mazy Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Posted November 20, 2012 I'm going to play through this soon, we'll have a little Mapcore Review session. That'll be fun. Can't wait! I expect the full Rick_D treatment!~~ Destructoid gave it a 8.5 (they gave KL2 af 1 out of 10), and Giantbomb a 4 out of 5, so at this point I'm pretty damn happy with the reviews ~ Thrik and Corwin 2 Quote
Skjalg Posted November 20, 2012 Report Posted November 20, 2012 Looks like the metacritic score is stabilizing at around 80 for this. Congrats Mazy Quote
