Hello everybody.

Don't think I saw this posted anywhere on the boards, might be interesting for some people :derp:

Level Artist

Required skillset

- An ability to think in 3D

- Drawings/sketches that display basic skills as well as any modeling and texture work related to objects, buildings, natural terrain, etc.

- Excellent sense of form, weight (mass), and volume

- Good use of light and shadow

- Breadth of artistic styles

- An understanding of optimization

- Excellent sense of scale and level of finish

It is required that you have experience with 3D Software such as Maya.

Senior Mission Designer

Responsibilities

Be part of a creative process with the Lead Designer, other designers and other disciplines

Work with an interdisciplinary team to best realize the vision of missions

Participate in discussions, give honest feedback on colleagues work

Be an advocate for the player experience, influence and shape it as it forms

Be relentless about quality

Communicate with all disciplines to increase quality both on your missions and on anything you feel could be better

Use proprietary 3D toolset/work alongside artists to best create your mission experience

Use a visual scripting system to craft the experience of your maps

Care about creating compelling pacing, variety, and drama as well

Create appropriate enemy placement, composition, timing, and line of sight for a given scenario

Qualifications

At least one shipped AAA title responsible for creating compelling pacing, variety, and drama

FPS experience

Experienced with 3D art, scripting and game creation tools (Maya, Unreal, etc)

Great communication skills; in presenting and writing

Ability to work creatively in a dynamic and quality driven work environment

Battlefield fan/knowledge a plus but not a requirement

3+ years of industry experience

I had totally forgotten we were hiring...

Btw, for some reason prop artists are called Technical Artists at Dice, figured I'd add this here, even though it's just temporary positions we're looking for.

Technical Artist

EA Digital Illusions is looking for excellent Technical Artists to join our teams in Stockholm.

You will be working as a Technical Artist in one of our next-gen project teams with technically advanced 3d graphics. Primary responsibilities will be to compose and model the graphic part of the levels for current and future games at DICE. As an Artist at DICE you will work closely with other team members and with the Art Director of the team so if you have that experience it’s an advantage. DICE will give you the possibility to grow as an artist and eventually take more advanced working tasks and bigger responsibilities.

ShadoW I doubt we have people working remotely at all, not very common at all I guess with larger studios. But shoot a mail to the adress on the jobs page, but I doubt it :?

Minos I have no idea what the period for this is, but as usual with this industry you are probably best of applying even for positions not listed, good people are always good people :)

If there is, they are very sneaky about it...

If you use the EA Jobs thing, be sure to upload your CV and application bundled as one file and make sure you upload the right file. You only get to upload one file and there a 24h delay before you can replace it -_-

I have applied but not for a designer position. QA fo sho... :D
