Tepcio Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Hi guys, I've just finished my new UDK scene called The Nocturnal Vapour (aka The Dark Carnival). I've worked on her for over the last five months, hope it was worth it. Feel free to comment and criticize. Thanks in advance! Froyok Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Very nice ! Sometimes I think you have too much light at the same time (too much blending of colors), but in general it's an excellent work ! I love the atmosphere ! Quote
dux Posted March 25, 2011 Report Posted March 25, 2011 Very nice. Just get rid of that horrible depth of field blur. Quote
Tepcio Posted March 25, 2011 Author Report Posted March 25, 2011 Sometimes I think you have too much light at the same time (too much blending of colors) good point on that. thanks Very nice. Just get rid of that horrible depth of field blur. yeah a bit obtrusive but you are probably the only one who noticed that Quote
Serenius Posted March 30, 2011 Report Posted March 30, 2011 DOF looks fine. Very pretty scene overall. Quote
u.s.marshal Posted April 3, 2011 Report Posted April 3, 2011 Wow looks impressive! the architecture and overall theme reminds me of BioShock Infinite. Quote
Kedhrin Posted April 4, 2011 Report Posted April 4, 2011 The scenes scream vibrance and is fun to look at. very disney-like. i do think the depth of field is a bit much and the blur muddies some of your details but i get that its part of the 'fuzzy' feel. the smoke particles in the air may also be a bit too noisey, and some of the geometry in the first pic are lacking but thats all nit-picky - overall you've done an excellent job building an overall solid picture. Warby Posted April 10, 2011 Report Posted April 10, 2011 potentially beautiful scene ruined by by dof Quote
Steppenwolf Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 The geometry looks pretty good. I agree with the guys who complain about the dof. Another thing the lighting could maybe be a bit more focussing on highlighting certain areas. Right now there are tons of colorful lights literaly everywhere. Makes it a super busy scene, information overload for the eyes and brain. Quote
2d-chris Posted April 11, 2011 Report Posted April 11, 2011 Yeah the lighting vibrancy and general "everywhereness" (lol) certainly detracts a little if this was an actual playable level, although by the looks of it this is an artistic showcase so no real harm done, it's beautiful Quote
Tepcio Posted April 11, 2011 Author Report Posted April 11, 2011 Thanks for feedback guys, will keep that in mind. Quote
