didn't know this had a trailer, thanks for the post... Still not sure if this will be any good, but I read and enjoyed the book. The fountainhead was definitely better in my mind but atlas shrugged was good.

I am bit of a capitalist myself, definitely right-leaning fiscally and economics is a field I enjoy reading about. One would think that I would be the target demographic of this kind of film but I can honestly say I consider this complete and utter bullshit.

Bioshock lifted some themes and style from atlas shrugged and that was cool and all but the novel itself is just... gehjghg.

read fountainhead, i think it definitely is the better one. i don't know what to expect from this movie so far, usually conversions from books aren't done well. but maybe they haven't forgotten the moral of the story, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, they will portray the characters well.

pretty much. "author writes mary sue version of self in book; attempts to justify prejudices and hatred". It's gonna either look way worse in film, or the movie's gonna rewrite everything to either be MIA or tongue in cheek, Starship Troopers style. I'm hoping for the latter, I could use a good political comedy. Instead the trailer just looks straight up awful. "Part 1" ahaha.
