FMPONE Posted April 4, 2013 Report Posted April 4, 2013 More detail != better scene is very quaint so far. because i know when people see my work, the word i want them to think of is "quaint" lol Quote
PogoP Posted April 4, 2013 Author Report Posted April 4, 2013 So I'm working on a building right now; I want to try a more architectural piece. I want to do it in Cryengine because, well, Cryengine is awesome, and lightmaps suck big time. However, I already have 2 scenes in Cryengine on my portfolio already. The question is this, people of Mapcore, do I just go ahead and make this scene in Cryengine, or should I bite the bullet and do it in UDK? Quote
Furyo Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 The engine you use to create a scene matters not, your artistic skills are everything (composition, lighting, modeling, texturing, atmosphere, etc) Quote
knj Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 Yea, tools doesn't matter, skill is wat you want to show ! Quote
kleinluka Posted April 5, 2013 Report Posted April 5, 2013 would love to see how you made this looks awesome! reminds me of some of the Battlefield 3 mountains (maybe you should apply there) Quote
kikette Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 Epic stuff here ! I really enjoyed each one of your project =D Quote
PogoP Posted April 6, 2013 Author Report Posted April 6, 2013 Thanks Kikette, that means a lot coming from you! Your stuff is really inspirational man, I wish I could get to your level of texturing! kikette 1 Quote

knj Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 really good work man, want to be like you when I grow up lolz Quote
PogoP Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 Heh, thanks Neil.. I think! Does anybody know of any London based studios that are hiring at the moment? Just curious to see what sort of work is available. I'm pretty sure Splash Damage and Rocksteady aren't hiring at the moment. Quote
ElectroSheep Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 (edited) Sony was hiring a few weeks ago. Edited April 8, 2013 by 3Dnj Quote
Puddy Posted April 8, 2013 Report Posted April 8, 2013 Who gives a shit if they aren't hiring? they'll get a mad boner and hire you anyway Quote
PogoP Posted April 8, 2013 Author Report Posted April 8, 2013 Haha thanks Puddy. I doubt that though! I think I still need more on my portfolio. Most of it is NS2 stuff really, which is mainly just hard surface. I need to show a bit more Zbrush-y sorta stuff, and different types of models, like some sort of building. I have a lot of experience doing that sorta stuff, but I have no finished scenes to show. That's what I need to work on asap! Quote
insta Posted April 14, 2013 Report Posted April 14, 2013 Don't you remember posting that? Because I don't remember you posting that either. Quote
