You mean by choice?

I cringe every time I have to go to that nasty city.

Good luck, you're gonna need it.

I was down the block the night that bomb was to go off last year. I also got engaged there the next night. I cant wait to go back. Amazing city, great food, great fun, and good tension all in one in my opinion. :)

Aye, I absolutely loved it. Never been to a city with so much life going on at all times (I know that's a cliché to say that about New York, but its true). It's insanely hard to not be struck with awe when going around there, everything is just so massive when you're used to small silly European cities, much more than any other American cities I've been to :D

Really want to go back there, but my last 3 vacations have been to the US (If you count E3 as a vacation :)), so I think I need a US vacation timeout :)

So, anyone got any cool tips. Sightseeing and shit. Food? White castle is a must for me since im a burgeraholic

I go there work based so you can imagine why I have nothing good to say about the place. That said, there are shitloads of things to do. I'd suggest the museums. From what I have heard nothing compares.

On the other hand, you might want to beat up some bums, assuming that's your cup of tea. There are bunches of those too.

Perhaps a prostitute or three?

Seriously, The place is supposed to have some great sights. Sadly I see the seedier side of it all and have nothin good to say experience wise.

One bit of advice though, if someone talks to you really loud and cusses a lot do not take offense. Its a local custom and you are expected to do likewise in return. Don't get personal and talk about wives or mothers, but being a son-of-a-bitch and fuckyou is perfectly exceptable as long as its said in an offhanded way.

For instance: Bad weather I see.. Ahh fuckyou, you shoulda seen it back in 08.. That son of a bitch was a kicker..

I reckon it would depend on the type of restaurant. I'd wait to see how the other patrons handle it. Then cut loose.

Shit dood, if I were gonna visit this country, there are many alternatives to NYC. Before I'd come all this way, I'd make plans for something along the lines of the Grand Canyon. If you come all the way to the US and don't see at least that great big hole, you'll kick yourself in the ass forever after.
